Dear Families, 

There’s so much excitement at Valley View School right now! We celebrated Team France who won the Voyager Cup during the final soccer intramurals game this week, and of course, welcomed our new leopard gecko. As we finish off November, we’re looking ahead to the Festival of Lights Winter Celebration on December 7. More information will be shared in next week’s message. 

Leopard Gecko 

We’re thrilled to have the leopard gecko with us at Valley View School. Students are eager to learn more about our new addition and look forward to helping with caring for it. When visiting the gecko, please do not open the doors to the terrarium to take the gecko out. You can see pictures on X @valleyviewcbe. 

Attendance 

We want to remind parents to call the absentee line (403-777-8250 ext. 1) before 8:30 am if your child will be late or absent. If you call after 8:30 am you will receive an automated attendance notification. If you receive the automated attendance notification you must follow the directions and call the school. 

Please note that sending an email to the school regarding attendance is not as efficient as calling the absentee line. Our office staff may not check the email message until later in the day. You should always call the absentee line to report lates and absences. Thank you. 

School Fees 

School fees are now posted in the MyCBE portal. Fees include field trips like Teacher’s Pet and Telus Spark. Please take the time to pay these fees.
