Week at a Glance | December 4-8
Dear Families,
December is already here and there are many events and activities planned for the month, including a spirit week at the tail-end. We are all looking forward to the Festival of Lights next week and having families join us for some holiday fun! We are also planning to have an Elder visit our school. Elder Pablo Russell will share “The Buffalo Way” and stories about nature, animals and the solstice.

Active and Safe Routes to School
The grade 4/5 community classes have started their work with Ever Active in assessing and planning for active and safer routes to school. Students had a chance to work with Ever Active in identifying the current safety needs around Valley View School. As they did a walkabout, they were able to point out areas for improvement. We are looking forward to seeing their project plan in a few weeks.
Active and Safe Routes to School offers a newsletter for families. This month it features Park and Walk Locations and Bus Tips and School Bus Tips for Families.
