Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!
Dear Valley View Families,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I hope you and your family enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with opportunities to relax, recharge, and make special memories together.
As the new principal of Valley View School, I am absolutely thrilled to join this incredible community and begin this journey alongside our students, staff, and families. Over the past week, our staff have been busy preparing for the arrival of students. From organizing classrooms and planning engaging learning experiences to collaborating as a team, there has been a great deal of excitement building throughout the school. We've even spent a few mornings together in our outdoor classroom, discussing our goals for the year and imagining all the wonderful learning opportunities that await our students both inside and outside the school building.
The energy, commitment, and care of our staff have been inspiring to see, and we cannot wait to welcome students back through our doors. A new school year brings new friendships, new learning, and new opportunities to grow, and we are looking forward to partnering with you to make this year a successful and memorable one for every child.
Helping Students Arrive on Time
Establishing consistent routines early in the school year helps students feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn. Arriving on time each day allows children to start their morning calmly and participate fully in classroom activities from the beginning of the day.
We understand that every family has unique circumstances and routines. If getting your child to school on time may be a challenge, please reach out to the school administration team. We are here to support families and work together to help students have a successful start to each day.
Meet the Teacher and Fall BBQ
We will be inviting you to meet your child's teacher in person on September 24th in the evening to learn more about the academic, social, and well-being goals for this year. You will also have a chance to learn about your child's classroom routines and expectations.
During this time, the Valley View School Council and Rotary Club will be hosting a Fall BBQ! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other members of the school community, meet staff, and celebrate the beginning of another great school year together. We hope to see everyone there!
