Dear Families,

We’ve had a great week at VVS as we continue to build relationships, community, and work through new expectations and procedures. Students seem to be adjusting well and are excited about the upcoming opportunities.

On Wednesday, we had our first welcome assembly, where we introduced new staff and shared upcoming events. Events this month include:

  • Walking Club beginning September 10th
  • Intramurals - For September and October, Mr. Todos will run flag football with some of our division 2 classes over the lunch break. This will start mid-September.
  • Terry Fox Run on September 19th

Universal Screeners Grades 1-3

Throughout the school year, teachers will be administering universal screeners to assess foundational skills in literacy and mathematics. Results from these assessments help teachers with planning and assessment for each child. During September, all students in grades 1-3 will have universal screeners administered. For more information, please see the attached handout.
