Tomorrow is World Teachers’ Day! Teachers, and our education colleagues, have a wealth of wisdom and experience that makes a real difference in our lives. Their knowledge transforms us, creating a lasting impact on our learning journey. 
As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of World Teacher's Day, let's honour teachers’ contributions and embrace the 2024 theme: Valuing teacher voices. 

Photo Day Monday October 7 

LifeTouch Photography will be here on Monday to take individual student photos. Photos will be available for purchase, if you choose. All students will need to get their photo taken as we need it for their school profile. 

Lifetouch Photography made the decision to decrease packages by up to 25% on all our packages and individual photo sheets. It is Lifetouch's commitment to provide our partners and their families with quality images at a reasonable price.    

Families who purchase their photo packages online at, www.mylifetouch.ca,  will receive a Shutterfly coupon for $30 off any Shutterfly purchase and a free 8x11 photo book.  

Emergency Protocols 

Next week we will be having our first lockdown practice. Emergency drills are part of our system expectations to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and students. We will have CPS on site to support the lockdown drill on Tuesday. 

Halloween Dance October 24^th 

Get ready for a family fun spooktacular night at our school’s Halloween dance hosted by the VVS School Council! The dance will be held on October 24, 2024 from 6pm- 8pm. Don’t forget to come dressed in your most creative costumes and dance the night away! We can’t wait to see you there! TICKETS will be on sale soon, limited space available. CASH ONLY concession. 

Kiss and Go 

We want to thank all families for using the Kiss and Go as intended. Your cooperation is helping to make the surrounding area safe for everyone.

Green Calgary - VVS Students Featured!

Our students were highlighted in the Green Calgary Environmental Education Program flyer. The grade 4/5 students from last year did some incredible work that is now featured.
