Dear Families,
Thank you to everyone who attended the Spooktacular School Dance last night! What a wonderful turn out! It was great to see so many families dressed up and enjoying the event. A special thanks goes to the VVS School Council for organizing and planning the dance for our school. We also thank the volunteers who dedicated their time to set up, run stations and concession, and clean-up afterwards. Your help and support is so important and we appreciate your dedication to the school community. We also thank the VVS staff who attended to help out and join in the fun!
Halloween, Spirit Week, and Costume Day!
During the week of October 28th, we will be having a Valley View Spirit Week!
The Spirit Days are as follows:
Monday Oct 28 - Wear Orange Day
Tuesday Oct 29 - Wear Your Clothes Backwards Day
Wednesday Oct 30 - Fancy Hat Day
Thursday Oct 31 - Costume Day
Friday Nov 1 - Jersey Day or Wear Red Day
On Thursday October 31, we will have a costume day at school. Staff and students are encouraged to wear costumes. The type of costume should be considered for ages 5-11 and not include weapons, fearful, violent, gory attire, full face masks or promote cultural appropriation. We understand that some families would like to share candy with their child’s class. Please do not send candy to school for distribution as we are not permitted to do this.
Have a safe and fun Halloween!

We need your input! The Valley View School Council has prepared a survey for all parents to complete. Your voice is important and will help inform next steps. Taking an active role in your child’s schooling and participating in school council initiatives is an important way for you to stay involved.
