Parent Teacher Conferences – November 27th and 28th
Parent Teacher Conferences are an opportunity for you to see your child's progress in relation to the Curricular or Program of Study outcomes at this time in the school year. During the meeting, you will see some of your child's learning evidence and be able to ask questions to your child's teacher. Mrs. Skibbe and Mr. Krokosh will be available for conferences so you can learn more about how your child is doing in Music and Phys-ed. Conference Booking is open. Please log into your MyCBE account to book a conference time. Please make sure you are booking with your child’s teacher by selecting their name in the drop-down. If you select a different teacher, your conference will be cancelled, and you will need to book again with the correct teacher. Thank you.
Science Kindergarten Parent-Teacher Conferences
Additional time slots are available for the Science Program Kindergarten families for parent-teacher conferences. Please select Linda Kemski’s Parent-Teacher Conference option for availability.
Holiday Food Drive – December 1st – 17th
We are excited to host our Holiday Food Drive from December 1st to December 17th. During this time, students and families are invited to donate non-perishable food items to the Calgary Food Bank by bringing them to school and placing them in one of the collection boxes.
A wish list of high-need items, along with a holiday-specific list, is provided below. Families who prefer to make a monetary contribution can also donate directly to the Calgary Food Bank by visiting: https://calgaryfoodbank.donorsupport.co/page/ValleyViewSchool
SAVE THE DATE – VVS Festival of Lights on Thursday December 11th 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The Festival of Lights Winter Celebration is an event for Valley View students and their families. We invite you to join us for some holiday fun! Activities include chalk art, winter beading, karaoke, holiday card making, musical performances by division 1 students, and more! Students must be accompanied by their parent(s)/guardian(s). We request that families bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Calgary Food Bank when attending the Festival of Lights.
VVS School Council Executive Elected!
The VVS School Council held its AGM last Tuesday, during which a new council was elected, with several executive members returning to their roles. Congratulations to our newly elected council! The VVS School Council plays a vital role in supporting school initiatives and activities. There are still a few committee positions available.
