Dear Families,
Our students have been spending more time learning outdoors and taking walking field trips. The students who are at the Ridge come back full of excitement as they observe the changing landscape with wildflowers and lush green hills. Please make sure your child has what they need to learn both indoors and outdoors. This includes a hat and proper footwear.
Upcoming Changes to Loading Zones at the School
There will be an important change to our bus zones along 26th Avenue SE as an entire section will be re-zoned. This change will support both Valley View and Ian Baz schools. The new signs will say No Stopping School Days 0700-1700 Except School Buses, which means only school buses are legally allowed to stop in those zones during school days between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. This leaves space for school and charter buses to safely load and unload students.
To read more about this, please refer to the notice provided by CBE Transportation.
Through the Active and Safe Routes to School initiative, Ever Active has provided us with an updated Safe Travel Map of our school and surrounding area. Please refer to this map if you are unsure about where to park or drop/pick up your child.
