Dear Families,
A big THANK YOU to all the School Council volunteers who helped at the casino last week! We are incredibly grateful for your time and support. The School Council works tirelessly to ensure Valley View School has access to the resources and equipment needed for optimal learning. With your help, we’re able to provide valuable resources like math manipulatives, new library books, technology accessories, and even larger items like a new gym projector and screen. Your contributions make a big difference—thank you for everything you do!
Lunch Clubs
We’re excited to launch a new round of lunch clubs over the next few weeks. Clubs like Knitting, Board Games, and Floor Hockey Intramurals will all be starting or are underway. Some clubs have limited capacity, and we are doing our best to offer as much as we can to all interested students.
Elev8 Lacrosse January 22nd – 23rd
Elev8 Lacrosse will be working with all students on Wednesday January 22nd and Thursday January 23rd. Thanks to the generosity of a local sponsor, Calgary Knights Lacrosse Association, our school will experience the Classroom Lacrosse program at no cost.
Alternative Programs in the CBE
The CBE offers a wide variety of alternative programs for students in K-12, including students who are moving on to grade 7. This includes Immersion and Bilingual Programs, Science Alternative, Arts-Centred Learning, and more. If you are interested in exploring these options, please reach out to your child’s teacher. Current grade 6 science alternative students at VVS are automatically enrolled for grade 7 at Ian Bazalgette.
