Dear Families,

We had a fun week of learning and being active! With the warmer weather, students have been enjoying time outdoors, including their Phys-Ed time. The coming week will be a short week, and we will continue to focus on learning excellence and strengthening our community. We want to remind families who are registering their child for Kindergarten in the Science Alternative Program that the lottery will take place on Wednesday, February 11th. All registrations are due by Tuesday, February 10th.

Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s Day approaching on February 14, many of our students are excited to celebrate! To keep all our students safe, we want to remind families of our no-food-sharing policy. If your child would like to bring a treat for their classmates, please choose a Valentine’s card or a small non-food item instead. Thank you for your cooperation!

Proper Shoes and Clothing

To keep us safe and active, please make sure your child has a proper pair of indoor shoes at school. Students need sturdy outdoor shoes for the weather and a pair of indoor sneakers for the gym. For Phys-Ed class, shoes must have laces or Velcro so they stay on tight while running and jumping. Please do not send your child to school with Crocs, slides, or boots in the gym. It is also helpful to dress in layers so your child stays warm during outdoor play. If you need assistance with any shoes or clothing, please do not hesitate to contact the office. Thank you for helping us stay safe and ready to move!

Outdoor Learning Space

We are thrilled to announce that we are finalizing the design for our new Outdoor Learning Space! This project is the result of two years of meaningful collaboration involving students, staff, parents, community members, school councils, and Elders. We look forward to revealing the final design with you soon. In the meantime, please visit our website to learn more about our journey so far.

School Fees

Please take a moment to log into your MyCBE account to review any upcoming or unpaid fees. These fees directly support student activities, such as field trips. We appreciate your prompt attention to keeping your account up to date. Thank you!
