Dear Families,

We are thrilled to invite you to the Celebration of Learning on Thursday, May 1st! Our students have put in a lot of hard work to showcase their learning, and this event will provide you with an opportunity to see their growth and achievements. The Celebration of Learning will highlight their progress in literacy, numeracy, well-being, and the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action. Be sure to check out the attached flyer for more details. A special thanks to Jimmy, a Grade 5 student, for designing the poster!

Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair will be open during the Celebration of Learning. Please stop by to purchase book fair items and support our school learning commons! We thank you for your contributions!

OurSchool Survey

VVS will be participating in an online school perception survey for students called the OurSCHOOL Student Survey. This anonymous survey is completely voluntary for all CBE students.  CBE’s Education Plan prioritizes student voice and well-being in our decision-making processes.  The survey will be administered after the long weekend in May. More information will be shared with those families whose child will be participating in the survey.

The VVS School Council

The School Council plays a crucial role in shaping our school’s direction and strengthening the connection between the school and our community. The Council helps make decisions on policies, events, and programs that support our students’ success. Your involvement matters! Whether attending meetings, offering feedback, or participating in events, your voice helps improve our school. Please visit the VVS School Council website or SuperKids Link Tree for more information.

Lost and Found

The lost and found items have been accumulating. Please take some time during the Celebration of Learning to look through the items that may belong to your child. Any unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity by mid-May.

Election Day – VVS is a Polling Station
